On this episode of MFP Live, publisher Kimberly Griffin and editor Donna Ladd speak with Elaine Talbott and CJ Winship. Elaine Talbott is a board member of PFLAG Jackson, and CJ Winship is a law student, former police officer and member of the LGBTQ+ community. They discussed the impact of LGBTQ+ representation in the Ridgeland Public Library. They also discussed how adults can be more supportive and understanding of LGBTQ+ rights within the younger generations. Elaine Talbott is a board member of the Jackson-Metro chapter of PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) located in Clinton, Miss. PFLAG is an organization that supports members of the LBGTQ+ community along with their families by providing education and resources. CJ Winship is a Laurel, Miss., native and graduate of Ridgeland High School. She received her undergraduate degree from Mississippi State and is currently a second year law student at the University of Mississippi.
